Keep traffic quality and inquiry quality connected

September 11, 2026

Define a qualified inquiry

Qualification starts with agreed criteria. BEM describes a qualified student inquiry as a prospective student who has demonstrated education intent, requested information from a specific institution, and provided valid contact information and required consent. An inquiry that does not meet agreed qualification criteria is not billable.

Keep the source visible

Traffic acquisition and lead qualification belong in the same conversation. Knowing where visitors entered an owned-and-operated experience helps the team understand how an inquiry was generated. Review source and placement alongside the qualification checks applied to delivery.

Separate volume from quality

A large number of clicks alone does not establish inquiry quality. Equally, a low early conversion count does not explain every problem. Review the acquisition path, delivery criteria, and available downstream reporting together before drawing a conclusion. Missing information should remain visible as a limitation.

Use the feedback loop

When schools report contacts, applications, enrollments, or starts, those outcomes add context to the original delivery. BEM uses performance information to support ongoing acquisition decisions. This connects the initial qualification standard with the longer student journey.
